MEET SAMANTHA

I went from ignoring my feelings to finding my voice all through journaling. I've journaled affirmations as part of my morning routine for years, but my journal entry the night of December 19, 2020 was different.

I was a new mom, with my son being 2 months old; living 655 miles away from home with my then-husband. My "breaking point" came one evening when I felt so overwhelmed that I couldn't hold it in anymore.

As someone who doesn't like to burden anyone else...I locked myself in my bedroom, opened up my journal, allowed tears to stream down my face, wrote "vent sesh" at the top and spewed out all of the feelings that were swirling around inside of me.

Something beautiful happened.

I was able to honor my emotions & release them. Since that night, I've used journaling to:

  • uncover all sorts of emotions
  • question my comfort zone
  • identify my needs
  • both find my voice & use it.

Journaling has completely shifted my world for the better, and now I share that process with others.

I've experienced other life transitions, too, like:

  • Moving houses (and states) 8 times in 10 years
  • Binge eating disorder
  • Pregnancy
  • Divorce (which resulted in depression)
  • Single parenthood
  • Complacency in my job
  • Breaking my people-pleasing cycles

During every transition, there was a surge of emotions that I needed to get out of my brain. I didn’t entirely know or understand how I felt AND I wasn’t a great communicator, so the art of writing slowly on paper allowed me to process my thoughts.

I discovered that feeling the uncomfortable feelings and writing them out actually helped me to gain perspective and ultimately, these BIG emotions lost their power. I felt in control and began coming up with actions that I could do that would get me closer to feeling ‘better’ - whatever that meant in the moment.

Now?

Now I help prompt women going through their own transitions, in their journals, so they feel validated, hopeful, have a sense of direction & clarity of how they want their life to feel along with ownership that she can create it.

I’m excited to help you during your transition; and for you to come out the other side as the empowered, inspired & capable woman that I know that is already inside of you. Allow me to introduce you to her.

Oh and if you’re one of those people who already journal as a healthy habit - I’m here to turn your affirmation & gratitude lists into juicy breakthroughs.

Let's Grow Together.
